an iPhone in Paris

Research says that taking photos actually has a negative impact on how we remember our experiences. I thought about this as I was looking through my iPhone captures from Paris this last summer. For me, the “photo-taking impairment affect” couldn’t be further from the truth.

Paris is ever present in my mind. I can vividly remember the Winged Victory of Samothrace taking my breath away at the Louvre… sitting on the lawn of Champ de Mars waiting for the oh-so-cliché light show to begin… Casey and I enjoying our first french macaroons. The list goes on and on. These memories from my travels are my most valued souvenirs.
